Hi! I’m Meg.

My life is a crazy roller coaster of ups and downs. After the pitfalls of teenage angst, my life has turned into one of adventures, great and small. I try to see everything as an adventure whether it is a long run or a camping trip filled with beautiful mountain hikes and unexpected thunder storms.

I got married recently and live in the Finger Lakes region of New York with my husband Bryan, cat Abby, and our dog Seneca. On the home front I bought a house in 2009 and have been enjoying and cursing it ever sense. I loved the overhaul of the bathroom but didn’t enjoy discovering the water heater had sprung a leak and wasn’t working at 5pm on a Sunday. In my spare time at home I try to balance quilting, knitting, and reading with the cooking and cleaning. To keep moving I try to spice up my athletic endeavors by mixing things up. While I have always run, I started belly dancing after I graduated college in 2002.  I played roller derby for a few years and after a concussion and a knee injury I moved on to non-contact sports. In the past few years I have done a bunch of 5ks, 2 sprint triathlons, 2 half marathons, and a summer biathlon. My old stand-by is hiking. Doesn’t matter where, I love our local nature center and heading to the mountains. Someday I would love to go adventuring in Patagonia!

Take a look at my pictures and read about my life. Let me know what you think and check back often!

    • There is a field at the end of our block. We find a good patch of underbrush and let them go. I feel bad about putting them out in the cold but I prefer that to them propagating in our house.

What do you think?
