Weekly Photo Challenge: Letters

“For this week’s challenge, share a photo with letters — no matter the alphabet. As you look through your lens, think about how your image might convey something bigger: a snapshot of how we communicate with one another, even if we don’t speak the same language.” ~ The Daily Post

Thinking about letters and alphabets, I thought about progressions. Letters form words form sentences form paragraphs form chapters form books. How do we pick books? Why do some take for ever and others fly by? What makes us decide what is and isn’t worthy of our time? What grabs our attention long enough to read the back of the book (or blurb on amazon)? For me, the cover. What’s the be shiny that makes me take a second glance? Is it pictures? Illustrations? Some books the title on a plain cover will do it and others need some sort of graphic. Looking at my bookshelf it struck me the varied fonts that are used as well. Here is a sampling of the letters on my shelf
